Other Transaction Authority (OTA) refers to the (10 U.S.C. 2371b) authority of the Department of Defense (DoD) to carry out certain prototypes, research, development and production projects. Other Transaction (OT) authorities were created to give DoD the flexibility necessary to adopt and incorporate business practices that reflect commercial industry standards and best practices into its award instruments. Aurotech is a member of the following consortiums to discover emerging technology opportunities.
The National Security Technology Accelerator (NSXTL) consortium provides access to the Training and Readiness Accelerator (TreX) OTA that expedites development, demonstration, and delivery of prototypes to increase Warfighter readiness; the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) OTA is a diverse challenge platform that expanded beyond energy technologies and aligned with the Information Analysis Center (IAC) technology domains; and the Strategic and Spectrum Missions Advanced Resilient Trusted Systems (S2MARTS) OTA is designed to refine strategies, management planning activities, and implement integrated, complementary solutions that enable broader Department of Defense (DoD) access to commercial state-of-the-art EMS technologies, advanced microelectronics, radiation-hardened (RAD-HARD) and strategic missions hardware. The System of Systems (SOSSEC) consortium which covers Open Systems Architecture Initiative (OSAI)/Air Force Research Lab OTA, the National Geospatial Agency Office of Ventures and Innovation (OVI) OTA, and Cyber Operations Broad Responsive Agreement (COBRA) OTA. The Consortium Management Group (CMG) which provides opportunities from the Consortium for Command, Control, and Communications in Cyberspace (C5)/ARDEC.
