OVERVIEW

DMI’s network security enhances zero trust maturity to advanced and optimal stages as defined by CISA’s Zero Trust Maturity model 2.0. We incorporate just-in-time and just-enough access controls via micro-segmentation, identity-based network access policies, application network access control, end-to-end encryption, including post-quantum cryptography solutions, and network policy as code security (NetSecOps) for securely accelerating network automation.

DMI supports agentless, identity-based microsegmentation that assigns a /32 IP address and default gateway to endpoints, effectively creating a segment of one. This removes the risk of east-west and north-south lateral movement on local networks and eliminates the complexity of firewalls. DMI dynamically controls least privileged access to endpoints through continuous assessment (authentication and authorization) and context-based access policies.

Identity-based network access enforces network policies associated with human and non-human identities, devices, or applications to provide more granular and dynamic access control. Key components include authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement based on identity attributes and defined policies.

Post-quantum cryptography (PQC) protects data in flight using post-quantum cryptographic algorithms, key lengths, and rotation frequencies. It supports the NIST SP 800-207 framework for zero-trust network architecture. DMI’s PQC architecture includes the configuration of management, control, and data planes. PQC easily overlays SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, or other already encrypted communications channels and protocols.

Network Policy as Code security (PaC) defines network security policies via JSON or YAML and automates policy development, testing, deployment, and enforcement via CI/CD integration and integrated policy checks. PaC provides an audit trail of all changes or drifts to policies and ensures compliance.
