PROUD TO BE A DMIER

Marjan Chinnanpour is an experienced Program Manager who officially became part of DMI with the April 2022 acquisition of Aurotech. Since 2015, much of Marjan’s work has been for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where she oversaw technology surveillance, design, development and prototype projects as part of the FDA Innovation Lab contract. “I stuck with this Innovation Lab work because the projects were interesting and we could make the clients very happy,” said Marjan. She later worked on the FDA DIMES contract, leading projects like Network Engineering and Modernization Support and Application Portfolio Prototyping on FDA Cloud Forward. She is now the Program Manager for the IT Project Documentation Support Services Program with the Bureau of Engraving & Printing. One of Marjan’s strengths is her ability to simultaneously advocate for her team and understand the perspective of her federal clients. “I just try to focus on understanding their perspective, as much as I would try to understand the team’s perspective,” she said. “Having a happy team while maintaining a happy client is the key.”

PROUD TO BE A DMIER

During his nearly eight years at DMI, Johnny Bretz has risen from a paid intern software engineer on a mobile app development project to – today – Application Architect and Managing Consultant. Johnny’s current roles require him to both design solutions for clients and serve his team as a manager and mentor. Johnny’s career track has enabled him to experience first-hand the way DMI cares for its employees. “When interviewing candidates for roles on my team, I always tell them that the DMI I’ve known has always been about putting people first,” he said. Over the years, Johnny has benefited from mentors pouring into him, and so he now relishes the opportunity to do the same for others. “Just as I have watched my own career progress, I like helping other people reach similar milestones as opportunities are presented to them.”

PROUD TO BE A DMIER

Quinn Peyser joined in July of 2013 as a Senior UX Designer with Pappas Group just before the company was acquired by DMI. Within a few years, Quinn was promoted to Associate Director of User Experience. After leaving to start a UX team at a large DC-based association in 2019, Quinn was lured back to DMI by S&E Leadership the following year to be the Director of UX. Quinn’s rich history with the company, successful execution in sales initiatives, client relationship-building and project work made her the perfect fit. Throughout the pandemic, business ebbed and flowed, but Quinn’s commitment to DMI’s growth and collaboration was stronger than ever. In fact, her team had one of its best quarters of her DMI tenure in 2021. Recently, Quinn was promoted to Senior Director, Strategic Solutions and Innovation and is now responsible for driving DMI’s offerings and strategic approaches to client solutions.
