TYSONS, VA – February 19, 2025 – DMI, a leading provider of digital services and IT solutions, is pleased to announce the promotion of Gary Aughinbaugh to Vice President, State and Local.
Gary’s accomplishments at DMI include leading critical pandemic-related IT projects to ensure residents could access essential services and overseeing the recovery of over 6,000 laptops after a cyberattack. Gary also played a key role in improving constituent experiences by modernizing state agency websites and implementing tools like ServiceNow to streamline service delivery.
Gary joined DMI in 2021 and has served as Senior Client Partner and Senior Director, State and Local. In these roles, he supported the State of Maryland across more than 15 agencies and five prime contract vehicles. As Vice President, State and Local, Gary will continue driving digital transformation initiatives for the State of Maryland and its municipalities. He will also expand his leadership to oversee other state and local clients across DMI’s portfolio.

Before joining DMI, Gary worked extensively in the state and local government market, partnering with counties and cities to modernize IT services for residents. He also has a strong background in the IT staffing industry and supported commercial and federal clients across the DMV region.
