TYSONS, VA – February 8, 2025 – DMI, a leading provider of digital services and IT solutions, is pleased to announce the promotion of Fred Maier to Vice President of Growth, State and Local.
Fred has been instrumental in driving transformative initiatives, including a major cost-cutting project for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro). His work improved project management, agile practices and real-time data dashboards, benefiting a population of 4 million in the Washington, D.C., metro area.
Fred also played a key role in helping the State of Maryland’s Department of Human Services modernization goals by supporting the MD THINK Program. This work included a new Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS), one of the only ones functioning in the entire country.
Fred joined DMI in 2009 and served most recently as Senior Client Partner, State and Local. In his new role, Fred will focus on expanding DMI’s footprint within state and local agencies, with a strong emphasis on fostering partnerships.

Before joining DMI, Fred worked across federal, state, and local government sectors, as well as in the commercial space. His experience includes supporting banks during the Y2K transition, selling software solutions, and assisting the federal government and system integrators with CMMI compliance and project management process improvement.
