There was no general application for Sports Authority, the only affiliated application was for the “Sports Authority Card”. Despite downloading the app on three different devices with different operating systems, it failed to work on all three. The mobile site had a limited effect on our in-store presence due to the fact it was not easily navigable. Promotion information was available, but these were only for online purchases or registrations – including in-store promotions to shoppers would be valuable. Overall, the mobile experience should be used independently of an in-store one. We found that it distracted from the in-store experience, slowing the process down.
