Neiman Marcus was a standout in the inventory category, however, fell flat in the majority of other categories. With a feature called “Snap.Find.Shop.” – Neiman Marcus allows users to photograph an item, locate it via their mobile app and purchase it. The application also had a great “Flip to Find” feature – using Tinder-like actions to sort through products with ease and pleasure. The app allows you to call, text, or FaceTime a store associate at any time to ask questions – an important feature for the high-end customer and a strong differentiator for the fashion retailer. There is room for improvement for their Loyalty Program, their Mobile Wallet functionality, and personalization. There were some personalized ways to shop via Pinterest or based on what was Most Requested in your preferred store. Neiman Marcus needs to continue to push the link between their online and in-store inventory in order to truly deliver on the holistic experience.
