The Marshall’s mobile app and mobile site did not provide any benefit to the brick and mortar store, other than the ability to look for store locations. The mobile site allowed users to shop online, per any ecommerce website. Since Marshall’s is a store that often has limited number of items, it would be hugely beneficial to be able to scan items and know if it was still available in your size in your location, or if it was available online. As a discount store, we believe they could also take advantage of a rewards or discounting features – similar to competitors like JCPenny or Kohl’s.
