The Harris Teeter application provided one of the most elaborate interfaces with individual stores we have seen to date. The app gives shoppers the ability to see nutrition facts when an item is scanned, in addition to pricing and in-store availability. The app gives shoppers the ability to create lists ahead of time and pick up all the groceries and pay at the register – eliminating the need to walk around the store grabbing everything you need – a thoughtful and strategic feature for today’s busy mom. The application keeps a record of past purchases, but does not have a strong tie to their rewards system like other grocers do. The application also allows shoppers to fill prescriptions, send feedback about the application and shopping experiences and read additional FAQ’s. Overall, Harris Teeter does a nice job of integrating mobile and the in-store shopping experience.
