Eddie Bauer’s application is not tied to the in-store experience in any way. Simply an ecommerce platform, that also allows users to find the nearest store and view their instagram feed – including any link to the in-store experience for the brand would be an improvement. Pricing, inventory and scanning functionality was only a small part of the digital experience, and suffered a number of technical glitches when used. With a brand focused around the outdoors, and those who are passionate about the outdoors – we think there is a big opportunity to including rich content, reviews, recommendations, videos, and more to help inspire customers to buy their products and venture out into the world.
