Chico’s did not offer a specific mobile application, but their mobile site provides solid value and desirable tools and content for its shoppers. The site allowed shoppers to view items, and view inventory availability in specific stores – or multiple locations based on your current location. While Chico’s can’t guarantee inventory in specific stores, shoppers are able to call a stylist to have clothes ready for a shopper upon arrival. We’ve seen several stores take this concept mobile – allowing shoppers to reserve specific merchandise in-store to try on. Chico’s shoppers are also able to live chat with customer service representatives and gives information on where sale items are located within certain stores. Overall, for not having a dedicated mobile application – the Chico’s mobile website does a fair job of aiding shoppers through the in-store experience via mobile. Similar to White House Black Market, including a broader feature set focused around pricing, promotions and personalization would be a great next step for the retailer.
