Anthropologie’s mobile application is almost a mirror image of their website. There are two features that are available via the app that are not provided online. Those include: “Find in Store” – which allows you to find specific items in local stores. However, this feature didn’t work well and nearly always resulted in an error message. The second additional feature allows users to scan a barcode of an item. Overall, the application does not provide its users any features that improve the in-store experience. As a leader in lifestyle content and design, I think there is major potential for Anthropologie to bring in other content and expand features or personalization based on their other web content, like their blog, that’s already available.
