American Apparel does not have a mobile application, instead has a mobile-responsive website that functions well on a mobile device. While there is not functionality that is personalized, offers any sort of store guidance, or the ability to scan items to see pricing information – the mobile-friendly site is easy to navigate, see items for purchase, as well as recommended other related items. The ability to locate a nearby store is hidden in the footer of the site, and information about items of clothing is not tied to in-store inventory. Overall, the mobile in-store experience for American Apparel is extremely limited – with almost no connection between the brick & mortar store with the mobile experience.
