Digital Management Named Rising Star in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Program for Maryland
Digital Management Ranked Third in Growth among Rising Star Award Winners
Bethesda, Maryland, October 12, 2005 —Digital Management, Inc. has been named a Rising Star in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 program for Maryland. The Rising Star award is a special designation for fast-growth technology companies that have been in business just three or four years and is part of the Maryland Technology Fast 50 program, which ranks the 50 fastest growing technology companies headquartered in Maryland. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over three years (2002–2004).
During its first three years, Digital Management more than quadrupled its size each year and is currently on target to sustain this rate of growth through 2006. As of October, 2005, the company has 31 full-time employees and 16 part-time consultants working on more than a dozen contracts at eight federal agencies. Today, Digital Management extends its focus beyond eGovernment to include Enterprise Architecture, implementing business management tools so Federal agencies can transform their IT portfolios to achieve the business and technological structures needed to maximize mission effectiveness.
The Deloitte Maryland Technology Rising Star companies have shown the strength, vision, and temerity to succeed despite a very challenging technology environment. We applaud the successes of Digital Management and acknowledge its place as one of the few to accomplish such a fast growth rate over the past three years. “We are honored that Deloitte, Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale and Dorr took notice of our success. We are very excited to be on the leading edge of what we feel is a significant change in the way the Federal Government will manage its operations and assets. Government is transforming itself. Our success these past several years is a product of the recognition that Digital Management provides the tools needed to effect that transformation,” said Jay Sunny Bajaj, CEO, Digital Management.
To qualify for the Technology Fast 50 Rising Star program, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2002 and $1,000,000 in 2004, be headquartered in North America, and be a “technology company,” defined as a company that owns proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company’s operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies’ technology in unique way does not qualify.
Rising Star winners are automatically entered in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 Rising Star category. Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 program ranks North America’s top 500 fastest growing technology companies based on percentage revenue growth over five years (2000–2004). Its Rising Star ranking is based on percentage revenue growth over three years (2002–2004).
