Digital Management, Inc. (DMI) Makes 2012 Inc. 500 List with Three-Year Sales Growth of 971%
Among the Inc 5000 for Six Consecutive Years, DMI Breaks the Top 500 With Continued Accelerated Growth
BETHESDA, Md., Aug. 22, 2012 –-Digital Management, Inc. (DMI), a leading IT solutions and business strategy consulting firm announced today that it has been ranked number 387 by Inc. magazine on its 31st annual Inc. 500|5000 list, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, Jamba Juice, Zipcar, Clif Bar, Vizio, Oracle, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500|5000.
Of the 20 Maryland-based companies named on the Inc 500 list this year, DMI is the only one to have been among the Inc 5000 6 years in a row. Of those 20 companies, DMI is the 2nd largest company overall, the largest provider of Government Services—5x the size of the next company, and the largest provider of IT services—10x the size of the next company.
“The great team we’ve built at DMI deserves all the credit for this tremendous achievement,” said Jay Sunny Bajaj, DMI’s Founder and CEO. “The past three years have been tough for many American businesses, but while others have struggled, our team at DMI has thrived–driving incredible growth, expanding the business with industry-leading mobility and cybersecurity solutions, and achieving a sustained record of excellence that would make any CEO proud.”
The 2012 Inc. 500, unveiled in the September issue of Inc., is the most competitive crop in the list’s history. To make the cut, companies had to have achieved a staggering minimum of 770% in sales growth. The Inc. 500’s aggregate revenue is $15.7 billion, with a median three-year growth of 1,431 percent. The companies on this year’s Inc. 500 employ more than 48,000 people and generated over 40,000 jobs in the past three years. Complete results of the Inc. 500|5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at http://www.inc.com/500.
“Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward. Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is,” says Inc. magazine Editor Eric Schurenberg.
