Digital Management Appraised at Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3

Worldwide Process Improvement Approach Provides the Company with Effective Processes That Improve Performance and Ensure Services Meet Customer Expectations

Bethesda, MD—February 4, 2010—Digital Management, Inc. (, a leading IT solutions and business strategy consulting firm, announced today that it has earned Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 from Carnegie Mellon’s Software Engineering Institute (SEI). To earn this appraisal level, Digital Management has demonstrated it has implemented a rigorous set of industry-standard processes for software development across the company. These processes help ensure the companys ability to ensure consistency, quality, on-time, and within-budget delivery of software solutions.

CMMI maturity is increasingly recognized within the Federal Government as a measure of a company’s capability to reliably deliver mission-critical software solutions. Digital Management’s appraisal at CMMI Level 3 provides that third-party affirmation of the company’s record of software development successes and opens the door to a new class of demanding software development opportunities for which CMMI Level 3 appraisal is a requirement.

“Achieving Level 3 certification brings our software development capabilities to the next level,” said Jay Sunny Bajaj, Digital Management’s CEO. “We have been delivering top-notch software solutions to both Federal and commercial marketplaces for almost eight years. However, now with this certification our customers can feel even more confident that we follow mature processes.”

CMMI is a process improvement approach that was developed by experts from industry, government and the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University. It can be used to guide process improvement across a project, a division, or an entire organization. CMMI levels are a numeric scale used to rate the maturity of a software development process or team, from Level 1 (initial) to Level 5 (optimized). CMMI Level 3 indicates that Digital Management’s software development processes are both repeatable and defined, indicating the processes are in place as standard business practices and are used to establish consistency of process performance across the organization.
