Digital Management Acquires Fontanus, Inc.

Fontanus’ TorqueTM Process Will Enable Digital Management To Ensure On-Time, On-Budget Delivery Of High Quality Mission Critical Software Applications.

Bethesda, MD—July 9, 2009Digital Management, Inc., a leading IT solutions and business strategy consulting firm, announced today that it has acquired Washington, D.C.-based Fontanus, Inc., a technology services and software development company. Fontanus has developed the Time Quality Engineering, or TorqueTM  process for improving on-time, on-budget delivery of high-quality mission-critical software applications. Digital Management intends to incorporate the Fontanus process into its organization, management practices and software development methodologies.

With more than ten years of experience in financial services, retail banking, healthcare and the federal government, Fontanus specializes in IT assessment, project management, and development and integration of solutions across the enterprise and the Internet. Fontanus has used its TorqueTM process to guide development projects for several major clients, including: Summit Financial Group, Bear Stearns (now JP Morgan Chase), Superior Federal Bank, TIAA-CREF, Carnegie Mellon University, Guardian Life Insurance, Thomson Financial, H&R Block, and CareAdvantage (a Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ company).

Fontanus’ Time Quality Engineering, or TorqueTM, Software Process is a disciplined software development process focused on instilling quality in the end product and minimizing time to delivery. TorqueTM includes both system development and project management tasks, from software architecture to change management, detailed design to risk assessment, and verification to earned-value reporting.
