The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) is on a mission to become the number one UK bank for trust, customer service and advocacy. To equip its employees to better serve customers, the global financial services company needed rapid deployment of a secure mobile device management (MDM) solution, integrated with its enterprise app store. And the solution needed to scale to securely support 50,000 users.

SETTING UP SECURE, SCALABLE MDM

We recommended MobileIron because it offered the right combination of security and data protection for RBS, along with the ability to quickly scale to support thousands of users. We architected the solution to support up to 50,000 users while meeting strict security requirements, and rigorously tested each portion of the solution. We were able to move quickly from pilot to production, going from 250 to 25,000 devices in just 120 days.

The customized mobile app store we built for RBS ensures that employees access only approved, tested, secure apps from a reliable source. It also gives users an easy self-serve solution for getting the latest patches, updates and enhancements.

With our mobility solution in place, RBS employees are securely equipped with the latest mobile devices and apps. Proprietary financial and user data is kept secure, and the self-serve portal significantly reduces end user calls for mobility support.
