It’s almost that time again! The ‘BIG Show’ is the main event for the National Retail Federation, held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City January 15-17th, 2017. With so much to do, we wanted to point out some of the key sessions and fun things you should make sure to put on your calendar.
Kick off your BIG Show experience Sunday January 15th, by attending this informative Exhibitor Insights session. Over the next 12-24 months the pressure will be on retailers to adopt new ways of serving consumers in context of where they already are. In the session, “Are Retailers Meeting the Mobile Needs of Customers? Global Study Says No,” DMI will answer how retailers can profit from the billions of devices coming through their doors every year. Through our global research, we will reveal the top features consumers expect, which retailers are leading the way and the biggest opportunities in 2017.
You won’t want to miss this one! Virgin Group founder, Sir Richard Branson will be among the keynote speakers addressing “Undying Brand Engagement in an Age of Continuous Disruption and Reinvention.” In this talk he will share his insights on inspiring deep brand affinity, fostering business agility, and keeping his finger on the pulse of innovation and disruption more than 40 years after Virgin’s founding. We are especially excited about this one as DMI worked closely with Virgin to deliver a rewards program that brings the brand to life through a mobile-first experience. To read more about Virgin Red, check out the press release or download the app, which is available in the U.K. for Android and Apple devices.
While we’re talking about the latest retail trends for 2017, check out NYC 2017 Retail Store Walking Tour Featuring Kellogg’s NYC and Sonos as they preview a new mobile tour app with downloadable content. From our research we know that 70% of shoppers said they’d be more likely to shop at stores with improved mobile in-store experiences than those that don’t (this number jumps to nearly 80% among millennials and high income shoppers- $100K+). We will be curious to see how these brands in omni-channel and technology, luxury and fashion, and food retailing are bringing the hottest new concepts to market and how they are addressing industry trends such as mobility.
And while you’re planning your schedule of places to check out and sessions to catch, don’t forget to stop by our booth—#2446—to hear about our latest global research on the features and mobile capabilities that have the greatest influence on consumers’ shopping behaviors, loyalty and spend. We are also set up on Level 3 (behind Exhibitor Insights Room 3) in the DMI Relax & Recharge Retailer Lounge where you can take a break, get a massage and charge up your device on us!
