Cloud integration is currently the top mobility priority among enterprises followed by managed services (devices, applications, …) and data management according to recent research by DMI and Clutch.
We teamed up with Clutch, a leading B2B research platform, and surveyed close to 600 IT decision-makers to find out what the top mobility priorities are for today’s enterprises (defined here as companies with 500+ employees).
The results indicate that cloud integration will be the top focus for enterprises in 2017 with close to one third of survey respondents saying they expect investments in cloud integration to grow and for this integration to provide significant benefits to enterprises.
As companies make more of their data accessible via cloud, mobile security and data management also become increasingly important. This is something experts refer to as the “access vs security” dynamic, caused by the volume of potentially unverified and insecure mobile access points that appear when moving to cloud storage.
All the results have been compiled into a report titled ‘Enterprise Mobility: Moving Data’. It breaks down the benefits and challenges of enterprise mobility strategies, an area which is growing rapidly with 69% of companies expecting their mobility investments to increase in 2017.
