John M. Epperly, President, DMI Federal, is responsible for all service delivery operations, business development and growth initiatives in the federal market space. John’s team provides comprehensive solutions for transformational information technology service management, mobility, cybersecurity, cloud computing services, artificial intelligence, data analytics and digital transformation for numerous defense clients. His expansive client portfolio includes the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Department of the Army, Office of Naval Research, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command and Department of the Air Force, Department of State, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, U.S. Department of Agriculture, the State of Maryland and the New Jersey Port Authority, just to name a few.  John has over 25 years of experience providing mission critical service delivery of IT programs in both the government and commercial sectors.

Prior to joining DMI, John served as the Executive Vice President for Coalfire Federal focusing on cyber security professional services, including governance, risk and compliance, as well as technical cybersecurity services such as continuous diagnostics & monitoring (CDM), vulnerability management, penetration testing, red teaming and incident response forensics.  Prior to Coalfire, John had extensive operational and business development experience as a senior leader for a variety of companies, including Booz Allen Hamilton, Veris Group, Elbit Systems of America, Verizon Business and MCI Telecommunications.

In addition to his corporate career, John continues his service in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard. John has over 30 years of service to the nation and is currently a Major General commanding the 29th Infantry Division headquartered at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

John holds an MBA in Finance from Drexel University and a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering and International Relations from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
