Jay Thomas leads DMI’s Brand Marketing & Customer Experience group (BMCX). BMCX acts as the digital agency within DMI, driving engagements which involve digital and mobile strategy and innovation that enable DMI clients to become digital leaders in their domain. The group has seasoned experts in branding, both traditional and digital marketing, as well as web and mobile solution development.

Jay’s background includes leadership roles with several top-tier consulting organizations.  He began his career with 10 years at Accenture where he led major business process re-engineering efforts for consumer-facing clients in the travel, banking and healthcare industries. In 1997, he joined Proxicom, one of the leading consultancies at the dawn of the internet. It is here that Jay learned of the powerful combination of strategy, technology and creative services – and how it could transform companies to be digital leaders. Jay spent the next 10 years as the founding member of Leadiant, a boutique consulting agency that guided professional services firms to revise their offerings and processes to better engage consumers in the digital era.

Jay holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
